Get to know the do and don’ts

Does healthy skin come from within?

When someone says, "you look good or pretty," we are actually talking about the skin. The skin reveals whether have you shown enough care or proper respect for your body by telling us how well our internal organs are doing or if everything is working well.

Can my face glow naturally?

For most of us, there is no single magic

bullet for glowing skin. And in fact, in today's fast-paced life many of us end up with inadequate nutrition for maximum beauty.

Also, under harsh circumstances, like pollution, dry and humid weather change, unhealthy lifestyles, or/and lack of awareness, our skin will be the first to show significant changes before we even get sick. For example, a pale complexion can be lack of iron and stress can causes white or grayish skin.

What is the rule of thumb to healthy glowing skin?

Sound Sleep

Go to bed early as adequate sleep helps in cell turnover and exfoliation. Lack of sleep, can result puffy eyes, and sagging skin as collagen production is not stimulated.

Stay hydrated

Since our skin can be busy shields us from the sun, chemicals, bacteria and countless environmental factors. Thus, it helps to clear toxins, transporting nutrients and oxygen to skin cells.

Nutrition

The right nutrition can offer protection for example, Vitamin A is essential for smooth healthy skin, protein for smooth and firm skin, Vitamin B, soothes  away tension lines and help regulate our thyroid gland for smooth and luminous skin, Vitamin C, plus protein is necessary to form collagen, that glued all cells together like brick and cement.

Be Patient

When we are in a hurry to see instant results either from products or skin healing but we need to give time for the product or the body system to create the effect, at least 21 to 28 days since our skin cell is replaced about every 28 days.

How can you help to keep your loved one's skin healthy especially for elderly people?

As we age, our skin naturally loses fat, the natural protective oils and is no longer as smooth and firm skin,Vitamin B, soothes away tension lines and help regulate our thyroid gland for smooth and luminous skin, Vitamin C, plus protein is necessary to form collagen, that glued all cells together like brick and cement.

Do you know the effect of aging skin can be visibly apparent as early as our twenties?

The aging process begins around the mid-twenties, and if, the skin isn't well cared for, the collagen production slows down and the elastin begins to lose its "spring".

What causes premature aging skin?

Enemy#1:Sun exposure

Mostly Asian exposure to extreme hot sun, the repeated ultraviolet (UV) breaks down collagen, handicap the synthesis of new collagen, and breaks down elastin. Thus, sun block is essential with right amount of UVA/UVB protection.

Enemy#2: Repetitive facial expressions

We are once though that facial muscles exercises may actually help but the question is when and how much as the skin ages, it loses its elasticity, so if we are unsure the correct amount of right facial exercises then ask the expert before it is too late.

Enemy#3:Sleeping position

Are we aware of sleeping on your side with face on your pillow can cause wrinkles develop easily. So if that's you, change your sleeping position if you can.

Enemy#4:Gravity

It's literally drags skin down over a lifetime and especially if you are a runner for any length of time, you may have "runner face" due to bouncing and impact from running causes our cheeks to sag.

Enemy#5:Lifestyle

The choices that we make in our daily busy lives contribute to healthy or premature aging skin. The top three culprits are smoking, sleeping late at night and improper diet.
